지난 한해동안,
영욱이의 여행스케치들을 보면서 부럽고 자극도 받고 그랬다.
난 그림을 즐겨 그리지도 않고, 잘 그리지도 못하기 땜에 스케치를 하거나 하진 않는데...
어쨌든 부제라면, '영욱이 따라해보기'랄까...ㅋㅋ
더불어, 정말 AA도서관에만 있을것 같이 구입하기 어려운
paul Klee의 Sketchbook을 tracing해보면서, 그림을 그린다는 것에 대한 생각도 많이 달라지고
다중시점과 같은 것에도 관심이 많이 생겼다.
얼마전에 알게된 fernando strauss라는 작가의 그림과 statement도 '한번 그려볼까?' 라는 생각을 부추겼음.
모...첫술에 배부를리는 없고, 앞으로 계속 해볼생각.

Consciousness
The nature of the individual is obscured by the basic ignorance
of the conceptual mind.
Everything that comes out of the mind is an illusion,
such as concepts. Concepts are linear and move from point to point.
Art
is circular and revolves around a limitless point; that space between an
experience and our reaction to it,
the no-man's-land of non-dual reality.
Intuition is the sole faculty for a direct vision of reality.
The balance
of opposites keys my paintings, through intuition, into a circular shape
enclosing the conscious with the unconscious,
the human with the divine, thought with action, art with life, a circle everywhere identical to itself, which contains no opposites.
